Josephine A. McClese, a 79-year-old woman, tragically passed away in a fatal car accident on September 25th, 2025, near the 5900 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard in Norfolk, VA.
The Norfolk Police Department responded to the incident just after 11:00 a.m., where they found McClese critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the road near Glenrock Road. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but her condition worsened, and she was pronounced dead later that day.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Initial investigations suggest that alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
